New Regulations on Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Alarms
This issue focuses on:
Updated regulations that come into force 1st October 2015
All Landlords of private residential properties will be required to install a smoke alarm on each storey
All Landlords of private residential properties will be required to install carbon monoxide alarms in any roomthat contains solid fuel burning combustion appliances
Landlords will also be required to check alarms are in full working order
If Landlords do not comply, they can be fined up to £5,000
